MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

 Dear Parents,

 Welcome and Welcome Back!!

 Welcome to all our current families and a special welcome to all our new families to the Toronto French Montessori School community.

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the beautiful summer of 2005 with your families.

 I would like to thank all the members of last year’s parent committee for their dedicated hard work and support throughout the year. I would also like to thank all the parents for your generous, donations, gifts and good wishes at the end of this past school year. Your generous donations to the school are very well appreciated.

 We are having our annual Welcome Back Pot-Luck dinner on Tuesday, August 22^nd, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the school’s auditorium. This will as always be a great opportunity for all of us to meet each other. Either Mrs. Maggie Nagy, Mrs. Julie Vaillancourt or Mrs. Peggy Lee will be calling you. Please let them know what you are planning to bring with you ( main course, salad, dessert).

 With the start of the new year, we strongly encourage you to get involved in the Parents Committee.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

August 22^nd: Pot-Luck dinner 6:30pm – 8:30pm; held in the school’s auditorium.

August 25^th: New Parent Meeting 7:30pm; held at the school. MANDATORY for all new parents to attend.

September 6^th : First day of school for returning CASA 1 & 2 students and Elementary. Please note, for elementary students class starts at 8:30am , for CASA classes start at 9am.

September 7^th: First day for new CASA 2 students at 9am.

September 8^th: First day for new CASA 1 students at 9am.

It is important that we have a smooth transition to the start of the school year. Therefore the CASA students are divided into two groups (returning students and new students).

Students must be in their full uniforms starting their first day of school. If you haven’t purchased it yet, please call InSchool wear at (905) 338- 3030 to make an appointment.

During the first week of school, please make sure that you receive your child’s timetable, the school year 2005-2006 calendar and the TFMS policy. This policy is a comprehensive overview of the school’s discipline, procedures, rules and regulations. Please take the time to review this material.

 On the first day of school we ask that you bring your child’s indoor shoes and a FULL set of extra clothes ( underwear, socks, uniform pants/tunic/skort, white shirt, and ect.)

Please label ALL of your child’s belongings, including their shoes.

The school will be selling our TFMS school bags, hats, pencils, lunch boxes at the pot-luck dinner. Please support the school by buying our inventory.
